Therapy-induced senescence and adaptive transcription

We investigate how tumour cells enter, maintain or escape therapy-induced senescence through transcription-factor and cofactor control.
Central question

Can selective transcriptional dependencies convert a reversible stress response into durable tumour control?

Cancer therapy can suppress proliferation without eliminating malignant cells. Senescent or persisting populations may remodel their transcriptional state, influence the microenvironment and later contribute to recurrence.

This programme asks which regulatory assemblies control that transition in breast and brain tumours and how they can be manipulated to improve therapeutic outcomes.
