RNA modification in glioblastoma stemness

We study how m6A writing, erasure and recognition shape self-renewal, proliferation and invasive growth in glioblastoma stem-like cells.
Central question

How are RNA modifications coupled to transcription to preserve malignant stem-cell programmes?

Glioblastoma stem-like cells sustain plastic gene programmes that support heterogeneity, recurrence and resistance. Prior work linked the m6A demethylase ALKBH5 to co-transcriptional maintenance of FOXM1 and tumourigenicity.

The programme extends this framework to RNA readers, signalling inputs and metabolic outputs that stabilise aggressive glioblastoma states.
